Management of Risk provides a Best Practice framework that is tried, tested and effective in eliminating or managing the risk involved in reaching goals. The aim is to help your organisation make the most of its opportunities, boost performance and realise its strategies. The course leads to the Practitioner examination for Management of Risk.

Pre-Course Requirements
There are no pre-requisites in terms of experience, although it is anticipated that delegates will have knowledge of project management concepts, programme management concepts and a good basic knowledge of the nature of risk management. Prior to the course, each delegate will be sent the Management of Risk manual, suggested pre-course work and a reading list, in order that they become familiar with the concepts. It is essential to the successful delivery of this course that the pre-course work is completed.
Who should attend?
Risk Managers, Project Managers, Project Consultants, Project Support Staff, Project Assurance Staff or anyone requiring more than a basic knowledge of Risk Management
Examination
The Foundation examination is a 45 minute ‘closed-book’ examination, with 35-45 questions, in a multiple-choice format. The required pass mark is 50%.
The Practitioner examination is a three hour ‘open book’ examination, with a required pass mark of 50% or more. It is a Case Study based exam, with a scenario of 10-12 pages, which is available 1 week prior to the exam. There are two sections: 1st section compulsory – worth 50 marks; 2nd section, answer any 2 from 4 – worth 25 marks each
Delegates should be aware that some evening study will be required on all four days, in order to assist in the successful completion of the examination.
